HISTORY
BACHELOR OF MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERING

History of Study Programs
The D4 Mechanical Design Engineering Study Program is one of the study programs at the Department of Industrial Technology, Diponegoro University Vocational School. The embryo of this study program is the DIII Mechanical Engineering Study Program. Starting in 2016, all diploma programs at Diponegoro University were combined into a Vocational School based on Indonesian Government Regulation Number 52 of 2015. To respond to this government regulation, the Chancellor of Undip issued Decree Number: 1250/UN7.P/HK/2016 concerning the establishment of the school Undip Vocational.
In its journey to produce competent human resources in accordance with the needs of the times, the government is encouraging the process of opening and increasing the level of vocational education, and it is hoped that it will be appropriate and in line with the needs of industry/users. On April 5 2017, the Chancellor of Diponegoro University officially issued letter number 179/UN7.P/HK/2017 concerning the establishment of D4 Mechanical Design Engineering, replacing decision letter number 363/Kemenristekdikti/Kep.1998. This indirectly marked the closing of the D3 Mechanical Engineering Study Program and its transformation into a new study program, namely Mechanical Design Engineering.
The changes made are certainly not without reason, but are based on the needs and desires of stakeholders/industry world (Workshop for Evaluation of Study Programs and Initiation of Collaboration with Industry on August 31 2016) to add courses such as Solidworks Computer Applications, Fluent, Vibration Machinery, and so on, where this knowledge is applied science given to undergraduate or D4 level students. In accordance with the hopes longed for for years, the Undip Vocational School was officially declared established on September 1 2016.
